This property was acquired unconditionally and lies within a conservation area and adjacent to a grade II listed building. Prior to acquisition, the public house business had been struggling for some time and the brewery decided that it was no longer viable, and the property was placed on the market.
Since we acquired the building we have submitted a number of planning applications, and currently have 2 detailed consents on the site. The first is for the conversion of the building into 7 residential apartments, and the second is the extension and change of use of the ground floor to make it more appealing to commercial uses, with 3 residential apartments above. After further discussions with the planners, we have recently submitted a new build residential scheme for 11 apartments and are awaiting a decision.
